I am currently working on the redrawing of the picture of the Renting of the Veil following the death of Jesus. A few
details had to be changed as far as the surrounding building was concerned but the biggest change comes in the veil or curtain itself. It needs to have cherubim drawn onto it instead of the nondescript adornment it presently has. And there is where I have been stuck for a week or two or three. Somehow resizing the drawings this morning in order to upload them to Vox, has cut them down in size in my mind from the looming monstrosity they had become to the manageable, "you-can-do-this" thing that they are. So, let's get to work.
The building has been redrawn and the priest taken out because there is nothing in the passage that says someone was there and the translators are sticklers for detail. Now, on to those cherubim. The notes they've gathered for me so far are:
- Their form was that of a man, their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a calf,
- four faces (man, on the right side the face of a lion, on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle.
- They have four wings, human-looking hands under their wings.
- Their wings are coverend in eyes.
Heaven help me!
