For Maki

I posted my initial piece as my profile pic on Facebook, Maki saw it and said, "I want one...with an M."  So I decided to experiment with some of the brushes in Corel that I don't usually use and this was the result.  I enjoyed it so much I decided to do one of these from time to time just for the pure enjoyment of it.  The shrubbery, the koi and butterflies were done with the image hose.  The letter was drawn using the pattern pen and the "redwood bark."  The letter is outlined with a tapered goache brush and the leaves beneath the letter were watercolored darker to make the letter stand out.
